Why don’t you just…?

Why don’t you just…?

NB: During the welcome to this episode of The Different Stories Podcast and during the conversation itself, you will hear it referred to as The Other Stories Podcast.

That was the original name of the podcast until we were requested to change it in November 2023, due to the presence of another podcast of the same name, of a completely different genre.

The podcast is now known as The Different Stories Podcast across all platforms.

Recognising herself in some of questions during her daughter’s assessment for Dyslexia, Niki McGlynn could finally make more sense of herself and her past. As a neuro-development therapist herself, in this episode of The Different Stories Podcast Niki shares some of her vast knowledge and understanding of several conditions, including Autism, ADHD and of course Dyslexia, as well as some of her own story. Niki McGlynn has been a therapist for over twenty years. She has always had an interest in working with people who are neurodiverse. On discovering her daughters diagnosis, Niki was keen for her not to repeat her own experience at school so looked for something that would help specifically and found neurodevelopment therapy. This has also led to further interest in working with people with trauma, using movement to help build and rebuild connections in the brain.
