Already a competent speaker, Carol wanted help with shaping her backstory to take her speaking to the next level.

Following my StoryCRAFT process we worked on creating the core of a keynote presentation for her. This included highlighting the relevant parts of her background (having graduated in languages, she found herself working within the IT industry where communication soon became her area of expertise).

The challenge for Carol was to get really clear on her key message and to find a way of setting herself apart from other people who offer similar services.

During our time together she took part in the regional round of the Professional Speaking Association’s Speaker Factor contest so we worked on her entry, a 5 minute presentation, for that too.

She won the regional round and got very positive feedback from the judges, including this comment about her script: ’Pretty much perfect.’

She was shortlisted from the semi-finals to be one of 4 finalists among whom the standard was very high indeed.
