Perfect as you are

You might be surprised to hear that being highly intelligent often comes with its own challenges. Having a natural aptitude for one or  more aspects of life often means other parts of life can be hard to navigate, even to the point of disability. People who find themselves in that situation are known as Twice exceptional, or 2E  and in this episode of The Other Stories Podcast Kanan Tekchandani shares how seeking to understand some of her son’s traits and attributes actually helped her make sense of her own and her husband’s life too by learning what it means to be 2E.

Kanan is a holistic Neurodiverse Coach and Relationship Whisperer.

As someone who identifies with the terms Highly Sensitive Person, Aspergers/autism, giftedness and twice-exceptionality herself, she connects intuitively with her neurodivergent clients.

She specialises in working with adults and parents who are highly intelligent and successful in their field but struggle to create deep connection in their relationships with partners, children or parents.  Anxiety and overwhelm regularly impacts their physical health and sense of well-being.

Using a mind-body-spirit approach she tailors her support to help individuals and families to heal and live a life of happiness, fulfilment and success.
